"Villefranche is part of the NOVA FORESTA collection from Blendworth, a damask upholstery fabric.
The term Nova Foresta is inspired by the Domesday book, which refers to "The new Forest", specifically representing the part of the forest used as a royal hunting ground.
This fabric is part of the NOVA FORESTA collection, which refers to a first edition of beautiful woven patterns created by Blendworth from hand-painted oak leaves, foliage, flowers and fruits, inspired by the Blendworth archives which house some of the most beautiful historic damasks collected in Europe since 1921.
As with all true damask fabrics, they are presented in the form of 60 reversible cotton damasks, created in Europe using an exclusive irregular satin weave unique to Blendworth and woven with Egyptian cotton, a high-quality fiber. As with each damask, the beauty of this collection lies in the weaving seen on the front and also on the reverse.
