An expertise recognized since 1882

The history of Soieries Bélinac begins in Aurec sur Loire in 1882.

Albert Bélinac, their founder, was the first to use mechanical brochés specialized in weaving silk ribbons. In 1906, he built a building in Saint-Etienne, where the company was transferred.

Designed by the architect Francisque DODAT, the building is providentially located between the silk conditioning house and Jacquard Square.

At the beginning of this twentieth century, still stands on this square, the hay market.
